How to Play Fantasy Football

Select a Contest
Choose from various contest formats including league matches, tournaments, or season-long competitions. Each contest type has different entry requirements and scoring formats.
Build Your Squad
Create your team of 11 players while staying within the salary cap. Your team must follow the formation rules with the correct number of defenders, midfielders, forwards, and one goalkeeper.
Choose Your Captain
Designate one player as your captain who will earn double points. This strategic decision can significantly impact your overall score, so choose wisely based on expected performance.
Join Competitions
Enter your team into contests of your choice. You can participate in multiple contests simultaneously with the same team or create different teams for different contests.
Track Performance Live
Watch as your team earns points in real-time based on your players' actual performances. Track your ranking and see how you compare against other participants.

Squad Composition
- Total of 11 players in starting lineup
- 1 Goalkeeper
- 3-5 Defenders
- 3-5 Midfielders
- 1-3 Forwards
- Maximum of 3 players from the same team
Budget Management
- Each player has a value assigned (salary)
- Total team value must stay within 100 million budget
- Player values fluctuate based on popularity and performance
- Strategic allocation of budget is crucial for team balance
Captain Selection
- Must designate one player as team captain
- Captain earns 2x points from actual performance
- Vice-captain (if applicable) earns 1.5x points
- Cannot change captain after contest begins
Valid Formations
- 4-3-3: 4 defenders, 3 midfielders, 3 forwards
- 4-4-2: 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 forwards
- 3-5-2: 3 defenders, 5 midfielders, 2 forwards
- 3-4-3: 3 defenders, 4 midfielders, 3 forwards
- 5-3-2: 5 defenders, 3 midfielders, 2 forwards
- 5-4-1: 5 defenders, 4 midfielders, 1 forward

Daily Contests
- Team must be finalized before the contest deadline
- No transfers allowed once the first match begins
- Team is locked for the duration of the contest
- If a player doesn't start, you receive zero points for that position
Gameweek Contests
- Limited transfers may be allowed between matchdays
- Specific transfer windows between games
- Tactical substitutions possible based on contest rules
- Check specific contest rules for transfer allowances
Season-long Leagues
- Limited number of free transfers per gameweek (typically 1-2)
- Additional transfers incur point penalties
- Free transfer tokens can accumulate (maximum 2)
- Special chips available for strategic boosts (Wildcard, Free Hit, etc.)
Deadlines & Locking
- All team changes must be made before specified deadlines
- Deadlines typically set 1 hour before the first match of the round
- Late changes cannot be accommodated regardless of circumstances
- Always check specific deadline times for each contest

Stay updated with team news, injuries, and expected lineups. Having a player in your team who doesn't play will significantly impact your score. Follow team press conferences and reliable sources for the latest information before deadlines.
